Bush Survial task one

 Bush Survival
 The S.T.O.P acronym for survival are.
  • (Stop) what you're doing.
  • (Think) where you are.
  • (Observe) your surroundings.
  • (Plan) what your next step is.
Finding fresh water.
It is important to remember the following when finding fresh water.
    • Listen for flowing water.
    • Look for wet mos or wet ground.
    • Make sure the water is flowing down the stream or river.
    Shelter
    It is important to remember the following when a bush shelter
    •  Build away from creeks or rivers.
    •  Build on a dry, flat surface.
    •  Your shelter needs to protect you from the wind and rain.
     Fire
    It is important to remember the following when make and starting a fire
    •  Get dry and solid wood.
    •   Get rocks to put around the five so it doesn't get out of hand.
    •  Find two (small) rocks to hit together to make sparks and light the fire.
    Basic first aid
     Always be prepared
    •  Bug spray so you don`t get bit.
    •  Water bottle so if you find a creek you can fill it up.
    •  Bandages so if you get hurt and your bleeding.
    Signing for help
    •   Bring your phone so you can call for help.
    •  If you are near a beach you can make an SOS sign out of wood.
    •  Light a big fire but make sure it doesn't get out of control


    I hope if you get lost you can now survive in the NZ bush.
