Wreath design

 For my second activity I, I did wreath design. The hardest thing was making the bow because the shape was had to make and the darker part of it was harder to make aswell. The easiest thing was making the bobbles because I had to use circles to make it. The thing I like the most about it is the candy cane writing. I hope you like it.

Christmas wrapping paper

 For my first activity, I did Christmas wrapping paper. The hardest thing was make Santa because I had to make the face over top of the heir and berd. The easiest thing was making the background because I used gradient colouring. The thing I like about this is the candy cans because they are really simple to make but look cool at the same time. I hope you like it.

Celebration

 Today at school we did lots of activity in our homerooms. In the first rotation, we made baked potatoes and bananas with marshmallows and chocolate in them. I thing I like about making them where we got one each and we made them ourselves.

 For our second rotation, we did fire-making. Before we the fire we each got a tern with the flint and steel set. Then we got to make the fire in the ground but the had to light it because of health and safety. The thing I liked about it was we got make sparkes with the flint and steel.

 For our last rotation, we did orienteering, that means that we did map directions and a scavenger hunt. We did this in groups of 4 to 6 but my group didn`t get them all. The thing I liked about it was we got to go all over the school and find letters. I hope you like it.

Chapter Chat Fab Finish

 Slides

 This term for Chapter Chat Fab Finish I did Lu. The hardest thing was making the dining room and the house because I had to keep on adding on more thing each time I showed the teacher. The easiest thing was making Lu because I had a slide with people made on it already and I got Lu off there. Lost of the things I make I got photos to look at when I was making the thing. My favourite slide is the bedroom slide because it has the most detail and I like it. I hope you like it.

Bush Survial task one

 Bush Survival

 The S.T.O.P acronym for survival are.

• (Stop) what you're doing.
• (Think) where you are.
• (Observe) your surroundings.
• (Plan) what your next step is.

Finding fresh water.
It is important to remember the following when finding fresh water.

• Listen for flowing water.
• Look for wet mos or wet ground.
• Make sure the water is flowing down the stream or river.

Shelter

It is important to remember the following when a bush shelter

•  Build away from creeks or rivers.
•  Build on a dry, flat surface.
•  Your shelter needs to protect you from the wind and rain.

 Fire

It is important to remember the following when make and starting a fire

•  Get dry and solid wood.
•   Get rocks to put around the five so it doesn't get out of hand.
•  Find two (small) rocks to hit together to make sparks and light the fire.

Basic first aid

 Always be prepared

•  Bug spray so you don`t get bit.
•  Water bottle so if you find a creek you can fill it up.
•  Bandages so if you get hurt and your bleeding.

Signing for help

•   Bring your phone so you can call for help.
•  If you are near a beach you can make an SOS sign out of wood.
•  Light a big fire but make sure it doesn't get out of control

I hope if you get lost you can now survive in the NZ bush.

Task 3. Making our own bush shelter

 Shelter Building

 Today for shelter making, me and my group made a left angle shelter. The hardest part was tying the shelter in place because it was a bit out of control and really windy. The easiest part was making the right angle on it because we just had to shape it then put four rocks on it. Our shelter was a success because we could fit one person in like what the teacher said to do.  I give myself a resilience rate out of 4 because my group and I worked really well together. A good skill to have is tying knots because if you don`t know how to, your shelter would fall apart. If you make this shelter in the NZ bush, you would make it between two trees or logs. If you were hunting you could use this shelter for a resting place or somewhere to get out of the hot sun. I hope you like it

Chapter Chat week 5 term 4

 Fantastic Favourite

 This week for Chapter Chat, I did my fantastic favourite. The hardest thing was making the socks because I had to re-do it over and over again. The easiest thing was making the shoes because I made them of Nike ID. The thing I like the most was making all of things because I got to make them on Google drawings. The thing that took the longest was the pants because I detailed the whole thing. I hope you like it.

Task 2 tent making.

 For our second task, we did tent building. The hardest thing was working together and reading the entrustings. The thing that worked well was all fitting in the tent because it was very big and spacious. I learned to work together and not to be the big boss man that tells everyone what to do. I hope you like it.

Shelter Building

 Shelter Building 

The best place to build a shelter is under a fallen tree, beside a big rock or between two trees. The shelter you build will need to protect you for rodents and mosquitos. You also need to use leafs to make bedding for yourself and if you have a bag you can use that as a pillow. Pros for sleeping in a bush shelter are, there is no one to annoy you, you can go toilet whenever you want and you can make what you want. Some cons are, you could get sick from eating something bad, a tree might fall on your hut and you could get attacked by a big swarm of mosquito. 

Native tree challenge.

  Pōhutukawa 

 This week for server, we have to research about native New Zeland trees. I chose Pōhutukawa because they grow in the bush and the beach. Pōhutukawa can live up to 1000 years old. They like to grow by the sea because it is warmer and there is more sunlight. The red things on the trees are seed pods and each one holds lost of other seeds. Maori used Pōhutukawa for making spoons and small paddles. I hope you like it.

Chapter Chat week 4 Pick and Mix

 Pick and Mix

  This week for Chapter Chat I did Pick and Mix. For PIck and Mix, I did coach Brodys gold medal. The hardest thing was making the medal straps because I had to get them both even. The easiest thing was making the medal. It took me one hour to make. I used blue, red, gold black and orange. I hope you like it 

Knot 3

 For my third knot, I did a Bowline knot. The hardest thing was getting the rope to go throw the lope. The easiest thing was untying it because you could just pull the rope. This knot took me 3 goes to get it. I hope you like it.   

Chapter Chat week 3 Term 4

 Research Centre

 This week for chapter Chat I did Research Centre. The teachers said that we could redo a Research Centre from the previs weeks because this week one was really hard. The easiest thing was getting the shoes. The hardest thing was finding out was year the company first came out. My favrite shoes on there are the pumas because they have cool detal on them. I hope you like it. 

Knot 2

 This is my second knot out of three. I did the reef knot. The easiest thing was tying the loop at the start. The hardest this was making it with two strings. You can use this knot for tying two things together. I was the easiest knot to do. I hope you like it. 

Knot 1

  This is one out of three knots that I`m doing over the next two days. This knot is called the figure 8 knot. The easiest thing was untying the knot. The hardest thing was getting the perfect 8 shapes. This knot takes 10 seconds to make. You use a figure 8 knot for rock climbing or stopping something from falling I hope you like it.

Blog Bonus

This week on Wednesday our school had calf club on. It was the 70th year anniversary of calf club at our school. The kid the didn`t have a goat, lamb or calf got to make mini senses. I made a farm sense with two paddocks with fens separating them. In the middle, I put a little tree with three rocks surrounding it. I used one Massie and one Class tractor. The Class tractor is pulling a sprayer and the Massie is baling. It took me one hour to make at school. My favourite thing was putting it together. The hardest thing was making the fens because I used chopsticks and picture wire. I hope you like it. 

Chapter Chat week 2 term 4

  Creation Station

 This week for Chapter Chat I did Ghosts shoe before and after. On Ghosts shoe before I did his big toe sticking out the front of the shoe. The hardest thing was drawing the shoe because I had to draw the cut down part and the sole as well. On Ghosts shoe after, I did blue, orange and yellow. The hardest thing was making the sprigs on the front so Ghost can get more grip on the track. I hope you like it.

Calendar art 2019

 This is my calendar art for this year. The hardest thing was drawing my spaceman because I did want to rub too much out and make lost of marks. The thing I most enjoyed was drawing my plan and then getting to redraw it. The easiest thing was colouring it because I only used 6 different colours. I hope you like it.

Chapter Chat Week 1 Term Digital Design

 Digital Design

 For my first Chapter Chat for this term, I did coach Brody`s business card. On the front, I did his taxi business with his email, phone number and his name and his photo. On the back, I put his email, phone number, his name, the track team and a photo. On the back I did his slogan, it says (He`s the best in the business and has the best track team). The hardest thing was making the taxi because I was using scribble on google drawings and I moved the mouse to fast. The easiest thing was making the running track on the back because I used Polyline instead of scribble. I hope you like it.
